Affordable, friendly and professional

I mainly teach face-to-face, lessons in Stirlingshire, Scotland, however  I also teach more remote students on-line, over the internet – including overseas.  For latest details and independent reviews, please see my eMusicTutor Facebook page. For remote lessons there is the added bonus that students may then review the recorded lesson at their leisure as often as they wish.

Variety is the spice of life

Boogie Woogie, Ragtime and Rock as well as Classical

I believe it’s important (as well as a lot of fun) that my students have the opportunity to play the kind of music THEY want to play.  So, instead of the narrow, sometimes uninteresting music that is so often taught for exams, I encourage students to learn a range of interesting and fun styles – styles that you will want to play and others will love to hear.

Demos and videos

Most of the tunes demonstrated below are quite technically advanced Boogie-Woogie pieces.  However, we usually teach from beginner-level and typically teach a wide range of classical, ragtime, Blues and Boogie-woogie, according to the particular wishes of the student, and I intend to publish youtube videos showing the wide range taught in due course.  But for […]
